Bio:
Nick is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA). He received his Bachelor’s from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2014. He then went on to earn his Master’s degree from Gardner-Webb University in 2019. He has experience working with a variety of populations and has worked in various settings including outpatient programs and a college wellness center. He works with adolescents, adults, and families and is passionate about working with young adults. He has provided support to clients in life transitions, adjustments, depression, self-esteem, and anxiety.

Counseling Approach:
Nick’s approach begins with a client-centered perspective and believes counseling is a shared process between the therapist and client. He is committed to creating a safe, supportive, and judgment free space. He strives to help individuals reach their desired goals while helping facilitate and create the change they are seeking. Nick uses approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy to provide a supportive environment to explore initial concerns, discover tools to effectively cope with these concerns, and develop goals that are both realistic and attainable.

School-aged children to adults; individuals, couples, and families; anxiety, depression, self-esteem, life transitions, relational conflict, Christian/faith-based counseling (upon request), and more.

Fun Fact:
Nick enjoys spending time with his family including his two children. He enjoys playing the piano, cooking, and being active with sports. His favorite sport is basketball and he is a big fan of the Hornets.
