Bio:
Monica is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) as well as a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist Associate (LCASA). Monica received her undergraduate degree in Human Relations from Pfeiffer University, her master’s degree of Social Work from University of North Carolina Charlotte. Monica has previously worked as a Psychosocial Rehabilitation Director and Substance Abuse Counselor.

Counseling Approach:
Although her counseling style is wide-ranging, Monica frequently uses cognitive-behavioral techniques combined with solution focused applications and client centered approach in therapy. Monica helps her clients by approaching each person as a unique individual, getting to know their needs, and working alongside them to find healthy understanding of themselves and strengthening their relationships so they may have a more peaceful way of living.

Specialties & Population Served:
She has experience with a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, addiction, adjustment disorders and relationship difficulties. Monica works with couples, families, and individuals from adolescents to adults; She is also certified to help those struggles with substance use. Fun Fact:
When Monica is not working, she enjoys cooking, socializing with her friends and family and attending Church.
