Lyndsey received her master's degree in Christian Counseling with an emphasis in Clinical Mental Health from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, and is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate, and a National Certified Counselor. In addition, she received her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2018. She is passionate about walking alongside people through the restorative process of counseling, and values providing a compassionate, safe, and supportive environment in which individuals can grow and become empowered. She believes that her role as a counselor is to meet clients where they are, and walk with them through healing and growth. It is her desire that all of her clients will feel accepted, cared for, and encouraged throughout the counseling relationship.
Lyndsey has worked with a wide range of individuals ranging from children to adults, in a variety of areas including anxiety, depression, self-image, grief and loss, parenting, life transitions, trauma, relational conflict, and more. Her therapeutic approach begins from a client-centered perspective, as she truly believes that the relationship between client and counselor is a very important factor for client growth. In addition, Lyndsey pulls from a variety of treatment modalities to best meet each client's individual needs such as Cognitive-Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Family Systems, and personality theories. Her aim is to provide a safe and supportive space for all clients where they can build a strong therapeutic relationship, and work collaboratively to achieve each individual client's goals."
