Lydia is a South Florida native who planted roots in North Carolina in 2017. She completed her Bachelor’s in Psychology at High Point University and her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with Liberty University. Lydia is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (#A17774) and National Certified Counselor (#1656953). She has counseled clients ranging from elementary age to middle adulthood with a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and adjustment disorders. Besides addressing adversities, Lydia is passionate about working with her clients to strengthen skills such as healthy boundaries, emotional awareness, communication skills, and self-care plans so they can have more tools to thrive. Lydia works from a primarily cognitive-behavioral theoretical orientation while utilizing a person-centered perspective for building connections with clients and Gottman methods for couples’ work. In her free time Lydia enjoys traveling, baking, crafting, audiobooks, and spending time with her family.
