Bio:
Lydia completed her Bachelor’s in Psychology at High Point University and her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with Liberty University. Lydia is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (#A17774), a National Certified Counselor (#1656953), and a member of the American Counseling Association.

Counseling Approach:
She works from a primarily cognitive-behavioral theoretical orientation while utilizing a person-centered perspective for building connections with clients and Gottman methods for couples’ work.

Specialties & Population Served:
Lydia currently works with adolescents and adults and offers individual and couples counseling. Specialties include anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and adjustment disorders and she incorporates Christian faith-based counseling upon request. Besides addressing adversities, Lydia is passionate about working with her clients to strengthen skills such as healthy boundaries, emotional awareness, communication skills, and self-care plans so they can have more tools to thrive.

In her free time Lydia enjoys traveling, baking, crafting, audiobooks, and spending time with her family.
