Bio:
Jenna is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in the state of North Carolina (LCMHC# 12286). She received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and her master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University in 2014. Jenna is a member of Chi Sigma Iota Professional and Academic Honors Society, American Counseling Association and North Carolina Board of Licensed Professional Counselors. Prior to counseling Jenna worked 6 years as a social worker at a rehabilitation facility. Jenna began her counseling career in 2016, serving Cabarrus and Rowan counties.
Counseling Approach:
Jenna’s counseling techniques are based on client needs. Jenna typically uses cognitive-behavioral therapy, play therapy, client-centered therapy, reality therapy, Christian/faith-based counseling (upon request), and solution-focused therapy. Jenna’s counseling style is based on the goal of assisting the client in reaching their personal therapy goals. Jenna strives on developing a trusting and positive therapeutic relationship with each and every client.

Fun Fact:
Jenna has many fun facts about her. Jenna has been a Type 1 diabetic since she was 9 years old. She has a passion for caring for animals, especially squirrels. She loves escape rooms and hanging out with her family. She loves to volunteer around the community. She loves to make others smile and has a true passion to help others.
