Bio:
Jaida is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist (LCAS). Jaida received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and her Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Jaida has volunteer experience at a domestic violence shelter providing mental health support to children in the shelter. Jaida has previously worked as a Habilitation Technician where she assisted individuals with autism and developmental disabilities. She also has experience at the Department of Veteran Affairs with their Caregiver Support Program along with their Substance Abuse Program. She has experience facilitating support groups for caregivers of veterans, single mother’s in college, and children. Jaida has worked with many different types of diagnosis including Adjustment Disorder, Anxiety, Depression, PTSD, OCD, ODD, along with co-occurring diagnosis.

Counseling Approach:
Jaida uses different modalities, depending on the patient and the care they need. She uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Reality Therapy, Psychoanalytic Therapy and Person-Centered Therapy.

Specialties & Population Served:
Jaida sees school aged children to adults. Jaida works with people going through life transitions, anxiety, who have experienced trauma, childhood concerns, behavioral issues, emotional regulation difficulties, addictions, PTSD, depression and more… Jaida also conducts group therapy at the practice.

Fun Fact:
Jaida loves to spend time with family/friends, playing with her dog named Darla, going to the gym and overall being spontaneous, especially with doing things outside. Once, Jaida spontaneously went sky diving and absolutely loved it!
