Jaida is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSWA) as well as a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist Associate (LCASA). Jaida received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and her Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Among other things, Jaida has previously worked as a Habilitation Technician where she assisted individuals with autism and developmental disabilities. She has also worked in private practice with children and adolescents with developmental and behavioral problems including diagnosis of anxiety, depression, ADHD, etc. More recently, Jaida has worked at the VA with Veterans and caregivers of Veterans. Jaida has facilitated many support groups with caregivers of Veterans to advocate for them, provide psychoeducation, and give insight of the self-care or coping skills they can integrate into their daily life. Jaida has also supported Veterans and other individuals with substance use disorders and other co-occurring diagnoses such as PTSD, depression, anxiety, etc. During undergrad, Jaida volunteered at a domestic violence shelter to support women and children who have experienced trauma and abuse.
Jaida has a passion for working with many different populations using person-centered care along with techniques of cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy, and positive psychotherapy.

Jaida loves to spend time with family/friends, playing with her dog named Darla, going to the gym and overall being spontaneous, especially with doing things outside. Once, Jaida spontaneously went sky diving and absolutely loved it!
