Bio:
Hannah is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (#A19686) with a Master of Arts in Christian Counseling from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. She received an undergraduate degree in English from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She is a member of the Association for Play Therapy and is a National Certified Counselor.

Counseling Approach:
Hannah is passionate about creating a safe and caring environment for clients to explore their stories and encounter hope in the midst of their suffering. Hannah uses an integrative approach to counseling that mainly draws from Client-Centered Therapy and she holds a holistic view of mental health which encompasses mind, body, and spirit. Hannah believes all people hold inherent value and is primarily focused on building a strong relationship with her clients, by providing them with a nonjudgmental and open space. Hannah also incorporates elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Attachment Theory, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Hannah loves incorporating faith with her clinical training if clients desire this in their sessions.

Specialties & Population Served:
Hannah enjoys working with individual adults, adolescents, children, and parents. She has provided services to clients addressing a wide range of concerns including: grief, trauma, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), depression, emotion regulation issues, children’s behavioral issues, relational struggles, boundaries, parenting difficulties, and spiritual issues.

Hannah has specialized training in Child Centered Play Therapy (used for children ages 4-10), Child Parent Relationship Therapy (CPRT), and Exposure & Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD. Hannah also has experience working with premarital couples and is trained in Prepare/ Enrich.

Fun Fact:
In her free time, Hannah loves being active, spending time outdoors, playing with her puppy (a miniature dachshund named Peanut), reading a good fiction book, and connecting with her family and friends.
