Beth is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC #14992). She received her Master in School Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke in 2006. She worked as a school counselor from 2006-2022 and as a mental health counselor from 2020 to present. She is also a trained in Triple P and is a member of the American Academy of Christian Counselors.
Beth believes a key component to therapy is relationship building. She maintains an unconditional positive regard toward her clients while helping them integrate healthy thought processes and habits to make positive changes. She believes understanding a client’s perspective is a necessary part of the counseling relationship. Beth’s goal is to help clients build a skill set for problem solving that will assist with current and future stressors. During therapy, Beth uses an eclectic approach, primarily focusing on Cognitive Behavior Therapy while integrating Reality and Solution-Focused Therapy. As life’s challenges vary, so do counseling techniques. Beth bases her techniques on her client’s specific needs and goals.

School aged-adults; individuals; couples, parenting, Christian/faith-based counseling (upon request), in-depth understanding of anxiety and depression along with a variety of behavioral concerns.
